This is a good move right?

Well I have friends saying that I need to get back to California and getting upset that I can't even visit till 2020. I don't know what to tell them other that that I don't have the money. I also don't think it's a good idea that I go back to soon. There are things I want to leave behind in California and I don't want to go back into that. I also can't stand my fathers girlfriend, she is the main reason that we had to leave. But how do I deal with my friends who want me back? Do I try and video chat with them more often when it's already hard to even find the time? I just don't know what to do. I am happy where I am at, and yes I do miss my friends. I will visit them when I can.
